Job Description

Tasks and Responsibilities: This manufacturing department position is responsible for operation of equipment to successful production of quality products for use in automotive or power sport vehicles:
Aluminum Products- Casting Die Repair Work

When accomplishing all tasks, remember to work toward meeting overall company goals established which include, OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance.
Safety & Environmental:
- Promotes a safety first attitude and provides safe work environment by obtaining knowledge, training associates, and then following all required OSHA regulations which may or may not include: Personal Protective Equipment, LOTO, Crane, Powered Lifts, Machine Guarding, Chemicals, Fall Protection, Fire Protection, Incident reporting, Respirator, Hearing conservation, Confined Spaces, and others.
- Maintain work areas to ensure safe and clean working conditions.
- Corrects unsafe work conditions immediately.
Quality:
- Ensure the “in process” and the “final” product meets customer and quality specifications.
- Ensures that work instructions, point cards are followed and communicates appropriately and immediately when quality issues occur.
Delivery:
- Responsible for completing the planned production quantities as required.
Productivity:
- Achieves the planned production quantities as required by:
- Ensuring equipment or process is running effectively and efficiently, performing repairs as quickly as possible.
- Communicating issues to the supervisor immediately if it cannot be resolved
- Following work instructions and ensuring co-workers follow instructions
- Working as a team and promoting teamwork
- Preventing interruptions to work flow and productivity
- Suggesting improvements to productivity, quality, safety etc.
Reporting:
- Reports safety incidents or near misses, issues with equipment or quality concerns, and work flow interruptions.
- Complete necessary production tracking paperwork where required.

Preferred Skills:
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationships
- Familiar with manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
Experienced Preferred:
- Previous experience in related field such as die service or welding
- Good with hand tools
- Tig weld certification
- General Mill Experience
- Able to read blue prints

Job Requirements
