Responsible for the billing, collection, and resolution of patient account balances to include the development of action plans to resolve delinquent accounts and respond to complaints.

A High school degree is necessary. An Associate’s degree in accounting, business or health care administration is desirable.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a patient account representative, or an equivalent combination of experience and education, is necessary. Familiarity with computer terminal and current office equipment is necessary. Training or experience with coding and payer regulations is necessary.
Ability to do math calculations, input data into the computer, and analyze data as requested. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner. Must be able to follow and understand instructions, and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
