Technical Writer with Security Clearance

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as aTechnical Writer to support a vital component of national security within the Department of Justice. This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled engineering and software development team in an Agile and DevSecOps environment. Among many initiatives, the team plans to design and build a new case management system and continue development of a high-profile electronic filing application using Agile Scrum development methods. The technical writer is accountable with capturing the engineer’s technical knowledge and transferring it to the appropriate audience using the best means. This position is available as a hybrid/remote role. Essential Duties: * Research, write, edit, and proofread technical data for use in documents such as manuals, procedures, specifications, agile artifacts,and special reports
* Createaudio-visual and on-line help
* Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
* Assist in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations
* Participate in Agile Scrum sessions to include daily standups and demonstrations
* Perform quality control on deliverables
* Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: * Five Years’ Experience or a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific or technical discipline related to the specific skill
* Experience with analyzing and documenting complex business processes, software development requirements, and taxonomies
* Experience with technical writing and documentation experience pertaining to any aspect of automatic data processing
* Excellent writing skills
Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Microsoft Visio
* Experience with Agile methodologies
* Experience with Adobe Captivate for e-learning
