Title and Summary

Physical Security Armed Officer Overview:

  1. Physical security officer, maintains and monitors physical security policies, standards, and best practices.
  2. Abides by Security guidelines relative to armed security standards to provide safety and security of staff and assets.
  3. Assists employees and guests.

Responsibilities

  1. Interaction with employees and guests, providing direction on security policy and visitor directions as needed.
  2. Operational use of security systems.
  3. Compliance with security operating guidelines.
  4. Ensures proper escalation of any security-related issues.
  5. Resolves complex customer service issues.
  6. Monitors response to access control, fire detection, and CCTV systems.
  7. Building Patrols and mobile patrols are required.
  8. Grants ID badges to staff as needed.
  9. Initiates Incident Report investigations and provides detailed reports.
  10. Responds to emergency dispatch, response, and mitigation relative to security, fire, or EMS response.

Experiences/Requirements

  1. Minimum of two years of service as an Active or retired law enforcement officer, corrections officer, or military service member.
  2. Minimum of 1 year as an armed security officer in good standing and an Associate degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice.
  3. Active Driver’s license.
  4. Physically fit enough to walk building patrols.
  5. Minimum High School graduate or Equivalent.
  6. Able to work all shifts including weekends.
  7. Represents MasterCard while interacting with Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement liaison at State and Local levels.
  8. Strong Customer Service Skills.
  9. Formal and ongoing Security Training.
  10. Complex problem solving.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience, and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
