As an AEM Development Manager for the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) Customer Communications Team, you'll be responsible for driving continuous innovation in our marketing communications platforms. Partnering with our creative, content management, front end development and QA teams, you'll build new features and integrations on our content management systems and campaign execution platforms that enable next-generation personalization and cross-vehicle orchestration for more than 10 billion communications delivered to our customers each year.
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What you'll be doing...
As an AEM Development Manager for the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG) Customer Communications Team, you'll be responsible for driving continuous innovation in our marketing communications platforms. Partnering with our creative, content management, front end development and QA teams, you'll build new features and integrations on our content management systems and campaign execution platforms that enable next-generation personalization and cross-vehicle orchestration for more than 10 billion communications delivered to our customers each year.
- Designing and implementing AEM based web & content solutions, including design and development of styling, SPA, content models, workflows, OSGI components, servlets caching strategy, content as service and user permissions.
- Building and deploying highly scalable SOAP and REST APIs with deep understanding of JavaScript, Java, J2EE, Servlets, HTML, HTL/Sightly skills, combined with enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring.
- Designing and developing complex back-end/front-end applications, associated integrations, and required test harnesses independently.
- Partnering with IT teams to develop custom solutions that leverage Verizon's Martech stack, platforms & core infrastructure to deliver business results.
- Partnering cross functionally and with 3rd party solutions partners to develop foundational capabilities that drive next-generation communications journeys & orchestration.
- Performing end-to-end QA on new development including CSS/HTML validation, usability and compatibility testing with a keen eye for detail.
- Building and automating processes to validate email and direct mail templates, and integrations with 3rd party applications.
- Leading projects, identifying roadblocks and potential solutions before timelines and launch dates are impacted.
- Prototyping, evaluating & leading the adoption of innovative solutions to address current and future business needs.
- Providing infrastructure & tools to creative, front-end development and operations team to run & operate.

What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in "Tier 1" commercial email deployment platform.
- Experience in technical building custom components in Adobe Experience Manager.
- Experience in system developments using JavaScript, Java, J2EE, Servlets, HTML, HTL/Sightly.
- Experience in building SOAP and REST APIs.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
- A degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Design, Management Information Systems, or a related IT or technology field.
- MBA or other Master's degree.
- Experience in Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Target or equivalent marketing technologies.
- Experience in solution design, development and technical consulting through collaboration between business and IT teams.
- Knowledge of SQL, ETL and data transformation.
- High degree of independence and resourcefulness - ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities and meet deliverable dates independently.
- Knowledge of encryption, data security, and customer privacy regulations.
- Strong analytical, research and organization skills and attention to detail.
