MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Rosemont IL – Onsite
Responsibilities
• Analyzing and testing existing products to identify areas for improvement
• Create and/or modify Designs in 2D or 3D modeling
• Collaborating with other Engineers, Designers, and Project Managers
• Works cross functionally with different departments and directly with Sales, Productions, and Manufacturing to determine priorities and develop production schedule
• Writing detailed operational procedures
• Creating budgets and timelines for each project
• Ensuring all products meet safety regulations
• Researching other products in the market to generate ideas for improvement
• Developing and building prototypes to test their function
• Conducting user research to identify consumer needs
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on design experience with custom complex machinery, equipment, or products
• Experience with Engineer to Order
• Exceptional problem-solving and math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in common 3D design software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
• Product-focused creative thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organization and effective time management
• In-depth knowledge of industry design principles
