Clinical Nurse (RN) Outpatient Surgery Center Pre/Op PACU

The Pre-op/ PACU RN cares for the Perioperative patient by applying the Nursing Process before and after surgery, consistent with the CA Nurse Practice Act, ASPAN Standards, and Stanford Health Care policies and procedures. The Pre-op/ PACU RN is responsible for maintaining their professional licensure, mandatory certifications and all clinical competencies. The Pre-op/ PACU RN collaborates with the entire perioperative team, and supervises and delegates duties to Hospital Technicians (unlicensed assistive personnel) in the pursuit of safe, quality patient care to promote desired surgical outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Prefer BSN.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care operating room in the Pre/Pacu area.
Minimum of 2 years of ICU or PACU nursing background, highly preferred. Strong orthopedic, pain management or ENT background, preferred.
Current California RN License
Current American Heart Assoc Healthcare Provider BCLS and ACLS certification
CPAN/ CAPA preferred
