Peraton Greenbelt, MD (Onsite) Full-Time
Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Senior Program Manager in Greenbelt, MD to successfully manage the NASA Space Exploration Network Services Evolution (SENSE) contract. This contract includes system architecture, system engineering, development, operations, maintenance, sustainment and facilities services to enable scientific discovery and space exploration by providing space communications and navigation solutions. In this position, you will have total leadership responsibility for schedule, cost, and technical performance for a large, complex and diverse program. We are seeking qualified candidates that bring leadership and experience to ensure innovative, efficient and mission-effective space communications and navigation services and solutions are provided through NASA's worldwide satellite communications (SATCOM) network for near-Earth operations. The position drives innovation and modernization and ensures that the program team is leaning forward in enabling new services and capabilities to align with NASA's focus on centralized network management services, including commercially provided space communications. * Lead the evolution of NASA's Space and ground networks toward a centralized management and commercial services "model".
* Lead the program in ensuring innovative and mission-effective services and solutions are consistently achieved * Responsible to direct, grow, and ensure successful execution of all aspects of the program * Manage program resources with the responsibility for overall performance from a financial, technical, schedule, contractual, and customer satisfaction
* Communicate policies, purposes and goals of the program and building/maintaining a positive work culture
* Develop, track, and ensure plans and schedules are followed, develop solutions to program challenges, and seek opportunities to maximize customer satisfaction
* Directly interface with and support the NASA program office and other customers as needed to coordinate all program activities and assess performance of the contract
* Travel to local and remote government and Peraton facilities as necessary to interface with government and Peraton personnel; (estimated less than 10%)
* Support business development activities in new and follow-on contract pursuits
Qualifications Required Qualifications: * A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Math, or related technical discipline, and 18+ years of directly related experience, or a Master's degree and 16+ years of related experience
* Demonstrated knowledge and insight in commercial space communications architecture, services, and approaches * A background that includes relationships across the commercial space communications industry
* Experience managing large ($50M plus) projects with respect to cost, schedule, performance, and risk
* Minimum 8+ years of experience interfacing with Government and/or Prime customers to provide status of projects and resolving program issues
* Experience with selection and hiring of candidates for technical and management positions and conducting performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff
* Experience with managing programs with modern and current IT, such as cloud and/or virtual networks
* Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires a US citizenDesired Qualifications: * A Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
* Expert practitioner in innovation and applying innovation to government services
* 5+ years' experience working with NASA and deep understanding of NASA's systems, standards, policies and procedures for execution and operations of their missions
* PMI certified as a PMP
* Experience with developing and/or managing commercial SATCOM systems
* Experience with leading a team to develop creative ways to adapt current technology, increasing efficiency and maximizing the potential of existing assets.
* Ability to succeed in the fast-paced and changing environments of development and program execution
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent teamwork

Salary Mid: $215,000
Salary Maximum: $268,800 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
