Position Summary
Nesco is seeking an experienced and skilled Production Technician to be an integral part of our busy team. This company is a progressive and growing company making high technology products, including hydrogen generators for renewable energy storage and fuel cell vehicle fueling. The successful applicant will be responsible for manufacturing components and assembling hydrogen generators and other manufacturing duties assigned by the manufacturing manager.Ideal candidates for this role possess a background in manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies along with a quality focus and strong attention to detail. The Production Technician role is also very safety focused and committed to working in a collaborative team environment to achieve manufacturing goals.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manufacture components & perform basic mechanical assembly.
  • Perform die cutting of plastic and metals.
  • Handle chemicals and perform material cleaning process.
  • Will perform in process inspections as they are processing materials.
  • Must be able to learn new products and functions as required; understand/perform all production processes.
  • Hand assembly of a variety of sub-systems and components utilized in manufacturing the company's hydrogen generators.
  • Ability to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
  • Operation of manual hand tools and power tools as required in assembly and validation work
  • Operation of material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacks
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues in the course of the manufacturing process
  • Follow all environmental health and safety regulations in the course of work; compliance with all OSHA standards
  • Maintain proper housekeeping so as to promote a safe and efficient workplace
  • Must professionally communicate and collaborate with other team members and supervisors
  • Ability to complete manufacturing documentation as required in the course of work
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education/training is preferred
  • At least one (1) of experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
  • High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Comfort operating hand/power tools safely and efficiently
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned and commit to a flexible work schedule around manufacturing demand
  • Ability to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accurately
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs
  • Quality focused and detail-oriented
