Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgery Unit with telemetry experience, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients
You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and other nursing staff, to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Care: Provide compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgery Unit, with a focus on those requiring telemetry monitoring.
  2. Telemetry Monitoring: Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying any abnormalities and taking prompt action when necessary.
  3. Assessment and Documentation: Conduct thorough patient assessments, document patient information accurately, and maintain up-to-date medical records
    Report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
  4. Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosage, route, and patient education.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, including physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
  7. Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean patient care environment.
  8. Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergencies, including code situations, by following established protocols and providing appropriate nursing care.
  9. Professional Development: Stay current with advances in nursing practice, attend continuing education programs, and actively participate in departmental meetings and training
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN in a medical surgery unit with telemetry expertise.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
