A day in the life of a Systems Administrator Systems Administrator will perform system administration operations on all Windows server systems to maintain a functional and secure operating environment for each network in compliance with Government policies and regulations, which includes maintaining service levels of system availability and up time, manage systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
Troubleshoot and repair system outages to maintain applicable Service Levels, perform daily checks, develop, generate, maintain, and contribute to documentation (e.g., procedures, instructions) that pertain to and are applicable to managed systems
Systems Administrator will also maintain compliant and secure systems for each network through the availability and perform vulnerability management as required
Must Communicate effectively with all department levels to ensure project success, and user needs identified and met, participate in and provide technical evaluations in various meetings, groups, and/or committees
Will perform system administration operations on all virtualization systems and terminal services to maintain a functional and secure operating environment
What we are expecting from you (i.e
the qualifications you must have):
• Must have a minimum of 4 years Systems Administration
* Preferred experience and administration in Microsoft Solutions, VMware, Citrix, and Oracle.
* MCSE, CompTIA Server+, VMWare Certified Professional, certifications or equivalent job experience
Required Level of Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen and reside in the State of Hawaii for consideration
