Research Associate

Atrium Staffing Ridgewood, NJ Full-Time

Our client is a well-respected research organization that offers a very safe and highly regulated work environment for Research Associates. The culture is positive and forward thinking that, one that is focused on preclinical neuroscience research.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$55,000 – $70,000

Position Overview:

The Research Associate will be responsible for rodent surgery, prior experience is required. The Research Associate will also be responsible for rat dosing, pain models, research on drug liability, behavioral pharmacology assays, preliminary data analysis and more. This role will have the opportunity to work with a driven team of Scientist who are collaborative and passionate each day.

Responsibilities of the Research Associate:

  • Behavioral studies, preparing and performing rodent surgeries
  • Conducting preclinical research of pain, cognition and other assays as needed
  • Execution of rodent studies in behavioral pharmacology assays
  • Designing, preparing, and executing experiments and rodent models
  • Execution of rodent surgeries in relevant studies
  • Preliminary experimental data analysis and creating draft study report
  • Complying with SOP, IACUC, quality assurance protocols
  • Troubleshooting

Qualifications for the Research Associate:

  • Experience with rodent surgery is necessary
  • Professional, positive attitude, and ability to work well in a team will be necessary
  • Experience handling animals in a laboratory and behavioral setting
  • Rodent Dosing experience (IP, SC, PO, etc.)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Neuroscience, Psychology, Chemistry, Animal Science, or related field is required
