MorganFranklin is Vaco's global consulting platform. Our Cybersecurity practice is looking for a Director of Sales and Business Development to join our growing team.

MorganFranklin's Cybersecurity practice provides a comprehensive and robust approach to solving critical cybersecurity needs. From consulting and implementation to managed services and project resourcing, we work to safeguard resources by identifying risks, developing and maturing cybersecurity programs, and implementing solutions that support our clients' business goals.

A Day in the Life

The Director, Sales and Business Development will report to the Managing Director, Business Development and work closely with internal leadership to develop relationships in the cybersecurity market and grow a pipeline of business through various available channels (partners, cross-selling, marketing). Refine and execute on a road map to expand of our MFC practice by expanding cybersecurity opportunities with current and target clients as a high-level liaison. Duties include:

  • Build go-to-market strategies that differentiate MFC Cybersecurity in the marketplace by leveraging an understanding of the cybersecurity market and competitive landscape.
  • Establish partnerships and alliances to extend company reach and market opportunities.
  • Develop a regional approach to build relationships throughout the MFC footprint.
  • Establish an understanding of all MorganFranklin services to enhance cross-sell strategy and execution
  • Focus on pipeline and lead generation for various service lines.
  • Hands- on go-to-market sales/business development for cybersecurity, including proposal creation, presentations, and pricing strategy.
  • Work with leadership on continuous improvement of sales strategy.


  • Bachelors or Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of sales and/or business development experience with 2+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Proven relationship builder, who sees past the transaction.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, idea person, who can pivot easily.
  • Ability/willingness to travel (safely) regionally or nationally as needed (less than 50%).
  • East Coast based preferred; however, this position has the flexibility to be remote.
