Position description

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA is seeking an outstanding MD or MD/PhD general surgical pathologist to serve in the division of Anatomic Pathology. AP/CP board certification is essential. Prior experience in signing out general surgical pathology is strongly desired. In addition, cytopathology training (Board Certified or Board eligible), and experience performing Ultrasound-Guided Fine Needle (FNA) is strongly desired. The appointment would be at the level of Assistant Professor.

The candidate will be responsible for covering general surgical pathology services at our affiliated hospitals and at the UCLA main campus, including Cytopathology, FNA Clinic, Autopsy, intraoperative frozen sections, and will participate on AP/CP calls. The candidate will share responsibility for training residents and fellows. Creative contributions in clinical, educational or research projects is expected.
