Reporting to the Staffing Manager, CNAs provide a variety of non-medical professional caregiving services to clients including, but not limited to Companionship, Personal Care, Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and Light Housekeeping.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) care giver provides direct patient care to the residents and assisting them in activities of daily living. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Monitor and report changing patient conditions by observing physical/mental challenges, intake/output, and daily increase/decline in movement.
Support patients by providing daily upkeep of home to include but not limited to:
Preparation and assistance with meals
Assist clients with personal hygiene i.e. bathing, dressing and grooming.
Assist clients in caring for themselves by encouraging the use of cane or walker, and use of eating utensils, etc.
Recording accurate client information in daily journal; and notifying nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions and update their personal Residential Care Plan.
Maintains a safe Use your compassion to provide warm, engaging personal care services, support and companionship.
Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Measuring and recording weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rated Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy client environment by following the standard of care requirements.
Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership, meeting/exceeding company expectations, as well as exploring future advancement and growth opportunities.
Must have Certified Nursing Aide certificate or license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or the ability to obtain
Minimum of 2 years' experience strongly preferred
Ability to provide patient care within scope of CNA license
Ability to build lasting relationships with patients
Ability to maintain a clean and healthy work environment
Have an outstanding passion for caring
Covid Vaccine is required.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis and physically able to help residents who require physical assistance
Read, write, speak and understand the English language
May require experience with caring for residents with memory impairment if assigned to memory care areas of the community
Bilingual or speaks multiple languages (ex: Spanish, Farsi, Amharic)
Has a valid driver's license and comfortable transporting clients
