About the role:

Duty First is seeking a Human Capital Consultant to serve as a member of the Human Capital Management (HCM) Team. The HCM team works with organizations to optimize their workforce by realigning and refining operations and processes, ultimately improving their effectiveness. Our professionals address organizational and personnel barriers so that clients can reach mission objectives. The Analyst will assist the HCM team by supporting project tasks and completing assigned project activities. The Consultant will assist with various project management tasks including managing the project schedule, reporting progress, and identifying risks.

What the role requires:

* Support workforce development and change management efforts.
* Support efforts to analyze data and develop action plans based on it.
* Develop and lead Organization Development (OD) activities.
* Conduct qualitative research analyses and reporting.
* Create quality deliverables on time and on budget.
* Monitor project progress by tracking activity, writing status reports, and recommending actions. This includes administering or managing specific projects, programs or tasks.
* Support efforts to develop and evaluate training.

What you need to be successful:

* 2-5 years of experience in a human capital field or in management consulting.
* Familiarity with OD interventions and change management is preferred.
* Familiarity with the following human capital topics: talent management, performance management, training, and leadership development.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work well in a team-based environment is required.
* Basic project management skills.
* Presentation and facilitation skills are required.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
* Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
* Strong attention to detail is required.
* Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.

Other important information:

* Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, ideally with major course work in I/O psychology, organization development, human resources/human capital, business administration or a related field.
* Applicants should have the ability to obtain a US government security clearance, if needed.
* Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer.
* Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates.

Location

This opportunity is available in the Washington DC metro area (flexible work arrangement), Charlotte NC (fulltime remote), Columbia SC (fulltime remote), and Minneapolis MN (fulltime remote).
