Plans and implements the overall cardiology policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations, including department quality control and compliance adherence. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Responsible for the management, training and operation of the non invasive diagnostic cardiology department - implementing policies and procedures, continuously assessing and improving the performance of care and services provided, recommends to hospital administration a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care. Maintains a high level of competency producing high quality and testing with ultrasonic medical imaging and other devices. Functions within and supports the general policies, procedures and philosophy of Porter. Other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited High School. Diploma Required
- Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Program - Diploma Required
- Five years management experience or equivalent education
- CCI or ARDMS registered
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
Five years or more Management experience with five years stress, EKG and adult Cardiac ultrasound. Two years pediatric M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler/color Doppler. One year transesophageal echocardiography, two years vascular.
