Lucy's Kitchen in Newport, RI is looking to hire a full- or part-time Prep Cook to support our kitchen by prepping fruits and vegetables, managing inventory, and cleaning. This flexible culinary position earns a competitive wage of $14 to $15 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PREP COOK

As a Prep Cook, you provide crucial kitchen support to help us serve our customers healthy, delicious food. You prep fruits and vegetables for our sandwiches, bowls, and smoothies, planning ahead and portioning appropriately to make sure we always have what we need. In addition to food prep, you provide general kitchen support. You clean and organize all of our back-of-house areas, observing all of the relevant food and workplace safety policies. With attention to detail, you monitor our stock of fresh food and rotate out expired goods so that we always have fresh, delicious produce to serve. Your satisfaction comes from honing your culinary skills and brightening our customers' days with wholesome, tasty food!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PREP COOK

• 18+ years of age
• Ability to process fruits and vegetables

Some kitchen experience is preferred. Can you stay calm under pressure? Are you a team player? Do you prioritize cleanliness and efficiency in your work? If yes, you might just be perfect for this full- or part-time culinary position!

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A PREP COOK

This flexible position can be either full-time or part-time. Typically, the hours are between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and we are open 7 days per week.
