Outside Sales Representative

Welcome to a different type of sales role. We're looking for bold and uncompromising individuals who want to unlock their full potential, by helping put our products into the hands of professional painters. In the process, we can turn the paint and coatings industry on its head, and redefine what professional painters expect from their suppliers.

Mission:

Deliver sustainable and profitable sales growth, by increasing market share with identified end users. Strengthen existing relationships with current customers, proactively seek out new opportunities, and follow through on all potential leads in order to build relationships and drive revenue through to the authorized Benjamin Moore retailer.

Responsibilities:

* Sell through products to end users with a particular focus on residential re-paint, facility
maintenance and light industrial jobs
* Generate and close sales opportunities by identifying targeted end users and consistently calling on
them to identify and address their needs
* Conduct job site visits to provide guidance and recommendations on product selection, application
and technical information
* Write and follow up on specifications and project submittals
* Plan and facilitate end user events, trade shows and regular contractor breakfasts; featuring sales
presentations, product demonstrations and product training
* Record and track sales activities
* Support end user application trainings and strive for hands-on application opportunities
* Continually develop product knowledge and keep abreast of industry related topics

Qualifications & Skills:

* Three or more years of sales experience in the paint industry
* Self-motivated with a proven aptitude for growing sales
* Knowledge of best practices in retail
* Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Excellent product and application knowledge
* Effective analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
* Efficient at negotiating, time management and training
* Solid understanding of specification writing
* A desire to learn, grow and develop knowledge and skill sets
* Valid driver's license and a good driving record are mandatory
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
