Network Security Engineer

What You'll Do:

Our Client's company seeks a Tier 2 level Engineer to join a team of extremely talented professionals supporting the global Security infrastructure for strategic customers. This is a great opportunity for someone with patience and an empathetic view of the customer to hone their skills and advance their career providing value to customers while working with an industry leader in technology.

The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, evidenced by the ability to expand upon core knowledge. This role focuses on device management, remediation, event analysis, and providing world-class customer service. Job responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems in complex customer networks, working in a global 24x7 organization. An ideal candidate will have prior NOC/SOC experience, working against timelines in a fast-paced environment. A strong working understanding of Security platforms and technologies is necessary for a successful candidate. Excellent communication skills over video, web conference, and chat are required to succeed in the global Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2-4+ years of experience in Network Security support
2. Strong practical knowledge of Security platforms and technology
3. Proven crisis management skills
4. Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
5. Strong written and verbal communications skills
6. BS in Engineering/Computer Science/IT and/or equivalent experience
7. Certifications

1. Excellent understanding of the network topology and troubleshooting of network and hardware related problems
2. Working, demonstrated hands-on product and technology skills in at least two of the following areas (more a plus):

1. Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA)
2. Firepower Threat Defense Deployment (FTD/FMC)
3. Email & Web Security Appliance (ESA/WSA/SMA)
4. Identity Services Engine (ISE)
5. Stealth Watch
