Job Description Overview Vectrus specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of Federal agencies and commercial organizations nationwide. We are searching for a journeyman Software Developer to directly support software activities with cutting-edge technology for our DOD customer at NAWC-TSD in Orlando, FL. You will work with the newest software to integrate DoD trainers, simulators and platforms under the Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) construct utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Responsibilities Responsibilities: The Software Engineering Support Analyst will directly assist in the planning, integration, and support of the Next Generation Threat System into the Navy's LVC training environment. This position involves testing, managing, and data analysis of NGTS. NGTS consists of three main components: The Simulation Engine, the Battle Monitor, and the Database. NGTS has been installed at multiple Navy and Air Force sites and is currently being used and/or integrated into JSF, F/A-18 C/D/E/F, EA-18G, P-8A, B-52, and B-1 training systems. It is also integrated into the distributed exercise centers, such as the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC), the Air Combat Command's Distributed Training Center (DTC), and the Naval Aviation Distributed Training Center (NADTC) rely on NGTS to provide intelligent threats in support of large-scale exercises. Qualifications Requirements: Current Top Secret clearance Bachelor's of Science in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution. Coursework specializing in computer hardware and software is desired. 5 years of practical experience in software systems engineering associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains. 5 years of experience with software engineering functions such as, requirement analysis and definition, configuration management, quality assurance, unit and system level testing, reliability and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis/assessment, and human factors is required. 5 years of experience with current and emerging software development methodologies, processes, and life-cycle models, (e.g. CMM, CMMI, IEEE-12207, Waterfall, and Spiral). 5 years of experience with current and developing military equipment and systems. 5 years of experience with a wide range of non-engineering, non-scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, DoD/DON/NA VAIR policies, directives, and instructions and must know the - applicability of these documents to assignments. Desired: Coursework specializing in computer hardware and software (e.g. software design and engineering, system architecture, data structures, networks, operating systems, digital design and real-time systems). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented; experienced in organizing and prioritizing tasks. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products to include: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing software tools for engineering This position will require U.S. citizenship with an SSBI favorably adjudicated for a Top Secret clearance.
