Job Details

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Other disciplines and education levels will be

considered based on experience
  • Relevant work experience in a similar capacity of 7-10+ years
  • Expert in controls and electrical application of three or more areas of AMHS, such as but not limited to conveyor

and sortation systems, shuttle systems, ASRS systems, goods to person systems, etc.
  • Experience writing Request for Quotations (RFQ’s)
  • Experience in obtaining and evaluating competitive bids and selecting vendors
  • Experience with network design and requirements.
  • Fully understand and can mentor others in the ability to apply electrical and controls tools
  • Working knowledge of latest versions of AutoCAD preferred
  • Expert in equipment application of controls equipment, such as Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).
  • Ability to understand operational flow and requirements as it applies to the electrical and controls equipment

being provided.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel - including automation of spreadsheets and customization with macros.
  • Ability to understand data and information needed from Customer for determination of electrical and controls

system requirements.
  • Collaborate well with others in the department and across the organization
  • Self-driven with proactive communication and continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the controls and electrical design and cost estimating of AMHS proposal opportunities
  • Create controls and electrical system designs and drawings of client specific solutions
  • Hold the role of controls and electrical automated system subject matter expert working with Sales, Customers &

Suppliers
  • Write all electrical and controls documentation needed for the Sales process and Proposals
  • Oversee and/or generate cost estimates for proposed opportunities
  • Mentor junior engineers on AMHS controls and electrical design
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and suppliers
  • Occasional overnight &/or travel required

Experience:
  • Electrical engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
  • RFQ: 3 years (Preferred)
  • PLC: 5 years (Preferred)
