Job Description


The Transportation Analyst maintains oversight for Ingredient Businesses related 3PL warehouses with regards to all aspects inventory control and transportation services. The position coordinates incoming and outgoing freight and freight claims; coordinates Tree Top product donation transactions; reviews relevant transportation data, conducts basic analysis and provides assistance to manager in more complex matters; and collaborates with cross functional groups.

Job Duties:

Coordinate, schedule, document, and manage domestic shipments of incoming and outgoing freight for Ingredient customer orders shipping from plants and 3PL warehouses. May coordinate with transportation suppliers and internal teams to optimize freight and minimize inventory costs. Monitor inventory availability and requirements and work closely with customer service, sales and plants.

Reconcile inventories, invoices, and report variances on discrepancies. Provide information to sales, planning, customer service, transportation and QA on current inventory issues.

Investigate and resolve all claim issues for all international and domestic inbound and outbound shipments by initiating and filing carrier claims, and following up on claims through settlement.

In conjunction with plants, QA, warehouses and planning groups, coordinate Tree Top product donation transactions. Develop and maintain vendor and service provider relations. Maintain appropriate related documentation.

Provide relevant Transportation and inventory information and data from and for the ERP (Movex) system.

Provide vacation backup assistance to CPG-Inventory Specialist position.

Complete departmental weekly, monthly and yearly accrual and KPI reports as required.

Have regular attendance and work appropriate number of hours to get the essential functions completed.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably with a major in Logistics, Supply Chain or Transportation or a combination of relevant education and practical experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated 2+ years' experience with ERP, WMS, TMS and Inventory Control systems.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a fast paced transportation office environment.
