HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women & Infant Services unit. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to assist in the delivery of newborns in conjunction with providing emotional and medical support for the mother during labor with a variety including high risk patients.
Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
Position Specifics:
- Department: Women & Infant Services. Exciting opportunity to build skills/resume working in L&D, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery, Scrub, and FA (not certified)
- Schedule: Full-Time Nights (36 hours/week; 6:45pm-7:15am) with every 3rd weekend rotation. Manager is open to Weekend Only option after orientation is complete

- Location: Effingham, IL
- Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
- Compensation: Compensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for night, weekend, and call on top of base rate!
Education Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications:
- Previous OB experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00. A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
