Department Overview
Motorola Solutions Vehicle Intelligence business, is a leading global provider of data and image analytics for vehicle location. The company's image capture and analysis platform, which includes fixed, mobile and app based license plate reader hardware and software driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence, provides vehicle location data to public safety and commercial customers. Acquired in January 2019, this product offering expands the Motorola Solutions command center software portfolio with the largest shareable database of vehicle location information that can help shorten response times and improve the speed and accuracy of investigations. The Product Management Team works to ensure that products are aligned with customer needs and requirements, taking input from customers and internal stakeholders to define requirements for development that enhance the product's value to the customer.
Job Description

Seeking a passionate, dynamic, innovative Product Management leader to lead the development of our next-generation intelligent camera products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for cutting-edge technology, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in hardware product management. You will work with the Director of Product Management to shape the overall vision and roadmap for your products and bring them to market as part of a cross functional team. You will build strong relationships within Vehicle Intelligence, our parent company Motorola Solutions, and externally with customers, partners, and industry groups.

The selected candidate will be a collaborative and approachable leader skilled at balancing the needs of competing stakeholder interests, and able to crisply communicate and deliver upon your commitments. Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspire, grow and manage an equitable and inclusive team of product managers
  • Focus on user experience and design to create world-class hardware to increase adoption and user success
  • Develop product requirements and roadmap that drives the company's vision while ensuring the customer's needs and pain-points are a priority
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of our products
  • Craft winning go-to-market strategies and drive them to execution
  • Serve as a champion for innovation while ensuring customers experience the performance and usability demanded by their public safety mission.
  • Own relationships with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, UX, User Research and Engineering; synthesize market and customer intelligence gained through these valuable interactions.
  • Work directly with customers, prospects, and industry groups to build relationships and uncover customer and market problems and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to identify and build integrated solutions that together better serve our joint customers.
  • Lead your team in the continuous refinement of your Product Roadmap, as informed by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent your product roadmap to executive leadership, solicit and incorporate their feedback, and win their buy-in.
  • Empower your team as they execute on the product roadmap through an iterative Agile hardware development lifecycle. Ensure requirements gathering, development, and launch efforts are right sized to the initiative. Hold your own team and partnering teams accountable for excellence while working collaboratively as equals.
  • Drive your team's engagement in cross-functional product launch and firmware release activities. Proactively address challenges that risk achieving the full value of your initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Ops, and Marketing to refine our go-to-market approach including pricing and packaging.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within our parent company, Motorola Solutions. Leverage these relationships to increase customer value and speed innovation.
  • Oversee the product life cycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Other responsibilities as defined by the Director of Product Management.

  • A professional with 8+ years of experience in hardware product management leadership (or similar role) with a demonstrated track record of achieving business success.

  • Flexibility for occasional global travel in support of customer and industry events Passport and ability to obtain visas are required.

  • Strong understanding of intelligent camera design, including hardware components, software integration, and user experience.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Passion for innovation and emerging technologies in the imaging space.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree with 8+ years of product management and 3+ years of direct people management experience
