An excellent opportunity is now available for an Administrative Director Surgical Services – Heart and Vascular Service Lines at a 250 bed Southern Texas Medical Center.
The Heart and Vascular Administrative Nurse Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer, and will be supported by 3 Nurse Managers. The Nurse Director Cardiovascular Perioperative Service Line will be responsible for 100 full time nurses, an educator, 2 Clinical Nurse Leaders and various Registered Nurse First Assists.
The Administrative Director Surgical Services will oversee the Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery Service Lines. The Administrative Director will be responsible for growing the service lines, recruiting physicians, and increasing the footprint within the community.
The ideal Cardiovascular Surgical Services Nurse Director will have previous management or supervisory experience, in addition to experience as in the Operation Room. The Perioperative Services Nursing Director will prepare annual budgets, develop spreadsheets, monitor and analyze financial information and implement operational changes to meet budget targets.
The Medical Center provides a variety of Heart and Vascular Surgical Procedures including: Coronary Bypass Surgery, Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Bypass, Heart Valve Surgery, and a variety of vascular procedures.
This 250 bed Medical Center is part of a large and stable non-profit medical center which has been a central part of the community. The Medical Center is extremely busy, as are the Ambulatory Clinics, the healthcare organization has over 20 clinics throughout the region.
