Nesco Resource is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot and maintain a well-functioning local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) environment for our client. Our client is commited to caring for the community and in a great location away from the busy Albany area.
The Network Engineer will provide oversight of the company's infrastructure, including data, voice and video network and systems, including both wired and wireless connectivity. The Engineer will manage hardware equipment, including switches, routers and firewalls. He/she will also maintain cabling infrastructure in data centers and multiple offices, ensuring acceptable levels of network performance and security.
Successful candidates must have:
Extensive knowledge of networks, various protocols and systems administration.
At east 5 years' experience maintaining network systems and equipment.
Certification preferred, including A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco, Microsoft or equivalent college degree (BS in a relevant field).
Knowledge of operating systems, active directory services, group management policies, and file share setup are also desirable.
Additional knowledge of security systems, Cisco and Fortinet firewalls, AV, Web Filtering and LEM systems are a plus.
History of working independently, in addition to strong organizational, listening, problem analysis and resolution skills are required, as is the ability to manage multiple workloads with successful results.
