•Responsible for the generation of all automated and semi-automated inspection programs. Verify programs prior to use for inspection.
•Generate Real Time Importer configurations and programs for new components and updating existing programs.
•Support manufacturing issues associated with imported data collection hardware and software.
Minimum Education and Experience:
•Must have HS Diploma/GED
•Minimum of 4 years mechanical inspection experience.
•Must be highly proficient in layout techniques.
•Excellent understanding of GD&T. Certification a plus.
•Excellent understanding of algebra and trigonometry.
•Reads and understands engineering drawings.
Preferred Education and Experience:
•PC-DMIS programming experience
•Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Master Inspector (CMI), Certified Quality Inspector
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop product, gage, and fixture inspection programs for a variety of automated and semi-automated inspection systems that will be utilized for all necessary inspection processes. Verifying, modifying, and tracking of all generated programs. (examples include, but not limited to: CMM’s, Keyence, Optic Line)
•Generate and maintain importing capabilities on required automated and semi-automated inspection programs.
•Perform and analyze verification of programs by conducting gage R&R studies on new and existing programs.
•Manage and retain traceability of gage R&R data.
•Generate and maintain Inspection Setup Sheets for all generated programs
•Manufacturing support of automated and semi-automated inspection systems and their data importing functions.
•Assist in continuous improvement projects.
•Maintain and perform training for associates on how to operate the auto/semi-automated inspection equipment (CMM, Mycrona, OpticLine, etc.).
•Ensure proper preventative maintenance of auto/semi-automated equipment.
•Maintain traceability of all preventative maintenance records.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
