ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The ARS Project Manager position is responsible for marketing, estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting for small to medium sized power limited construction and maintenance projects.

  • Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships to secure future business.

  • Direct and supervise technicians, general foremen, foremen and their crews in a manner as to comply with the contracts executed by Hunt Electric Corporation, union agreements, and all policies and procedures.

  • Manage assigned projects as economically as possible while recognizing commitment to customer satisfaction, quality workmanship and positive industry image.

  • Prepare, process and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing necessary to perform the responsibilities of the contract.

  • Direct the planning of the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting and installation.

  • When necessary, assist estimating team with completing an accurate project estimate.

  • Work closely with estimating team during preconstruction phase of a project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 3-5 years of experience working as a project manager in the electrical/power limited industry.

  • Ability to understand design/build requirements as well as the scope of the contract documents issued for the electrical work to be performed.

  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the electrical/power limited industry.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources.

  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish the work.

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to train, delegate, and coordinate work of Assistant Project Manager, Estimators, and other team members.

Additional Items (Preference given)

  • Experience with fire alarm, physical security, or audio-visual systems

  • Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS®) Certification

  • NICET – Fire Alarm Systems Design

  • BICSI - Registered Communications Distribution Designer® (RCDD®)

  • Experience with fire alarm, physical security, or audio-visual systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.

  • This job also operates at a job site and is exposed to hazards typical of a construction site, including but not limited to, uneven surfaces, loud noises, overhead hazards, heavy equipment, and weather conditions.

  • Employees are frequently required to walk on uneven surfaces, sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.

  • Employees are occasionally required to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding stair towers.

  • This role regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per job site requirements, including but not limited to, hard hat, work boots, safety glasses, gloves and high visibility vest.

  • This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
