The Manager of Infection Prevention at Kennestone Regional Medical Center organizes and manages integrated key activities related to Infection Prevention for the organization. Aligns department goals and tactics with hospital and system strategic goals under the direction of the Quality & Patient Safety Director.
The Manager of Infection Prevention, manages day to day operations for the infection prevention and control program. Mentors team members for personal growth. Responsibilities include compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and State regulation, outbreak investigation, and education of physicians and team members of CDC and State Health Department guidelines and regulations.
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. (Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred). Masters
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) within 18-24 months. If applicant holds an RN license, it must be unencumbered and active in GA.
Required Minimum Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare leadership role (project, oversight, lead).
Five (5) years’ experience in Infection Prevention in acute care setting or equivalent, required.
Required Minimum Skills: Leadership, interpersonal, time management, change management. Must possess a solid
understanding of team dynamics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building. Strong
