Senior Accountant job in Houston at Robert Half

International manufacturing company in North Houston is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! The Senior Accountant will work directly with the Accounting Manager and will have the following responsibilities:

•      Manage all bank accounts and ledgers: Daily Deposits, Transfers, Wires, Reconciliations.

•      Manage and administer Accounts Receivable and administer all customer credit and collections.

•      Daily/monthly reconciliation of cash

•      Leads the customer billing and invoicing process, including detailed field service time and material billing as well as routine progress billing and final project invoicing.

•      Collects revenue through following local cash collection processes and reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.

•      Liaises with and supports the Accounting Manager and other business functions (sales, operations, and procurement) to ensure that relevant financial matters are settled in a timely manner

•      Prepare and consolidate all statutory financial statements including P& L and Balance Sheet

•      Serve as liaison to external auditors

•      Leads monthly closing process of general ledger; create and manage accounting journal entries; oversee bank and all account reconciliations.

•      Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecast process for the company.

The Senior Accountant must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
