Qualifications: This person must be 21
years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. This person must have a valid driver’s
license with a safe and approved motor vehicle record. Must have a clear criminal history check.
Job Summary: This individual would aid residential
staff by transporting clients, and providing general assistance to the residential
office. Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and
socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
Supervision, Knowledge and Ability
Will transport students to and
from White’s Residential and Family Services.
Will be responsible for direct supervision of the children in your care
May on occasion, need to provide
transportation of parents to facilitate the family visitation. Mileage reimbursements will occur if own
vehicle is used.
Will be required to participate
in staff meetings and training.
Must be dependable, well organized, and an effective time manager
Must be a safe driver.
Needs to be able to follow directions-written and verbal.
Needs to be mature, emotionally stable, and be able to work with
children of various ages and behaviors.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Will be expected to maintain appropriate hygiene and attire.
Must be personable, genuine, empathetic and emotionally connected in
helping students, and relating with families.
Must have reasonable assertiveness skills.
Physical Demands of Position
Must be able to drive long distances under various circumstances.
Will be responsible for transporting, caring for, and managing
behaviors of one or more children of varying ages and behaviors for various
lengths of trips.
Will use staff or personal vehicle.
(If personal vehicle is used, reimbursed mileage will be provided.)
Normal work hours will vary depending on needs of clients.
