This position will perform various electrical and mechanical assembly. The Electronics Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling electrical equipment and components.
Read, interpret and follow prints, diagrams, drawings and other instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment
Assemble and install electrical equipment based on designs and drawings
Sizing wires/cables and circuit breakers based on predetermined loads
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and analyze machine parts and translate understanding into control system design
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical devices, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation equipment, motors and sensors
Perform electrical circuit analysis and closed loop design
Control panel wiring and power cable wiring for motor control center panels
Demonstrate high degree of knowledge in fittings, bearings, gears, shafts and machined parts
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
A degreed candidate is preferred, but other candidates may be considered depending upon experience, skills and record of accomplishments
3-5 years of experience in electrical & mechanical troubleshooting relevant to industrial or manufacturing environment
Working use and knowledge of NEC and NFPA 79 codes and regulations, electronic panel assembly, PLC's, Human Machine Interface (HMI) packages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
