Seeking Bookkeeper for temporary to permanent opportunity at local Jackson, TN office.

Excellent long term opportunity for the qualified candidate!

Job Description Includes:

Responsible for daily office operations including payroll (with certified wages), job cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation of both bank statements and general ledger.

Responsible for billing contract jobs, time & material work and federal and state contracts.

Manage receivables and collections

Responsible for maintaining small network, job cost accounting software, numerous spreadsheets and word documents

Manage employee benefits, drug screens, new hire orientation, training, 401K and insurance

Maintain licenses, workers compensation audits, liability insurance audits and OSHA logs

Responsible for filing business taxes, sales tax, quarterly tax, unemployment tax, 1099s and W2s

Requirements for this position include:

Previous experience in a similar office position with accounting and payroll knowledge

Must be self-motivated, reliable, have a positive attitude, good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
