Production Supervisor

Dauphin Decatur, IN (Onsite) Full-Time
Derived Salary: $52K - $71K/Year
Decatur Diamond, LLC is a privately held, US manufacturer of diamond-based, precision cutting tools. We are seeking a qualified Production Supervisor for our production facility located in Decatur, Indiana. This person will be responsible primarily for the cost-effective utilization of manpower and capital resources required to operate a group of manufacturing departments.

Decatur Diamond has a broad offering of diamond-based tools in the industry. Our products include, but are not limited to the Ultra Mill milling cutter and associated diamond-based cartridges and inserts, fixed-pocket brazed tools, CVD coated solid carbide rounds and inserts, as well as very high precision, diamond based-complex rounds, (e.g., automotive reamers, valve seat and guide tools, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise the production activity within the assigned manufacturing departments to achieve a level of daily quality and throughput.
  • Ensure the timely completion of quality audits in assigned manufacturing departments.
  • Interpret and supervise special work requirements.
  • Enforce all Company regulations and policies, especially those relating to safety.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or appropriate to the position.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School graduate
  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must be computer proficient and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Self-starter with a desire to improve production
  • Very well organized
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate personnel
