Communications Manager

Bancroft Cherry Hill, NJ (Onsite) Full-Time
CB Est Salary: $45K - $130K/Year

You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your talents in a variety of areas, including content creation, social media expertise, and media relations, and to work across all departments and programs and help to tell the story of those who are supported by and who work at Bancroft and the impact we all have.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops compelling written and multimedia content in Bancroft’s brand and tone of voice, including accompanying videos and/or graphics.
  • Leads execution of social media strategy across platforms to maximize engagement and reach key audiences.
  • Uses Sprout Social to schedule posts/stories and manage/monitor engagement. Develops responses as needed, with the Communications Director.
  • Assists with public relations efforts, including crafting media releases, talking points, media pitches and working within Cision to develop media lists.
  • Assists with internal communications including internal newsletter emails, employee intranet.
  • Collaborates with other Bancroft departments and subject-matter experts to mine the organization for compelling story ideas and topics of interest to consumers and clients.
  • Shoots and edits photos and videos as directed for use across communications channels and social platforms.
  • Performs industry-specific research to identify trending topics and areas of interest to Bancroft audiences, to inform content creation strategy.
  • Assists with design and production of printed collateral including brochures, fliers and promotional items.
  • Maintains list of speaker and award opportunities
  • Assist with obtaining quotes from vendors and budgeting support
  • Supports the team in internal and external marketing events as needed and executes logistics of those events, as directed.
  • Collaborates to ensure consistent brand and messaging across all channels and communications.

We’re Looking for a Compassionate Team Member Who:

  • Is a skilled and creative writer who can craft compelling, easily digestible content for a variety of audiences
  • Is knowledgeable in social media best practices and comfortable serving as a subject-matter expert in content creation and social media strategy
  • Is innovative in their approach to their work
  • Is comfortable in a digital environment
  • Is comfortable working with employees at all levels within Bancroft
  • Is passionate about making a difference
  • Thinks strategically and critically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Social Media management experience (Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and familiarity with Sprout Social or other social management tools
  • Previous newsroom and/or public relations experience preferred (agency experience a plus)
  • Video production experience and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) highly preferred; familiarity with Canva or other design tools a plus
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field, and 3-5 years of marketing or communications experience
