Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), Required Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years experience working with the design and implementation of treatment programs and some experience in supervision and training of staff serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities
  • Experience with budgetary and programmatic decision-making
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with staff training and supervision
  • Must be proficient with ABA Program/Goal Development, ABA Behavior Reduction and Skills
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized with the ability to multitask
  • Must be able to work well as part of an interdisciplinary team

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) Required Qualification:

  • Master’s in behavior analysis, BCBA Supervisory, Psychology, special education, social work, speech-language pathology, or related field required
  • BCBA certification and/or licensed professional

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • The primary function of the BCBA is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
  • The BCBA also consults with the interdisciplinary team of speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and teaches instructional team members regarding pro-active, educational, programming, and behavioral supports; develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans; and collaborates with team members, related services providers, families, and other agencies as appropriate.
  • In this leadership role, the BCBA will guide the development and expansion of our ABA program.
  • The BCBA will maintain a caseload (approximately 30 hours) which consists of working directly with children and families; however, a portion of time will be allocated to leadership and management activities.
  • The BCBA is responsible for collaborating with the client leadership team to promote onboarding of new employees, monitoring and implementation of programs including knowledge and familiarity with billing and reimbursement.
  • This position is also responsible for developing, supervising, and cultivating a growing team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Registered Behavior Therapists (RBTs).
  • In addition, the BCBA will manage the day-to-day practices of the program, provide oversight and manage the operating budget, performance metrics, and staffing levels.
  • Administers conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measures to develop and implement teaching programs that reflect behavioral and other outcomes and objectives identified as priorities by standardized assessments and family-centered goals.
  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives
  • Provide training and supervision of RBTs and instructional aides through observations, meetings, and performance coaching, and other methods.
  • Conducts regular caregiver and/or teacher training and consultation
  • Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Ensures that all treatment plans and programs comply with contract requirements, satisfy all relevant insurance certification and other expectations, and meet or exceed professional standards.
  • Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough, and systematic recordkeeping practices.
  • Oversees and directs the scheduling of RBTs as needed and ensure proper billing entry as required
  • Maintains billable caseload and documents billable hours according to state and federal regulation
  • Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate with each family and the client leadership team to complete appropriate recruiting, selection, training, and retention of trainers and instructional aides.
  • Provide staff development, training, and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for working with children on the autism spectrum and/or clients who have behavioral, adaptive, and/or social/communication challenges.
  • Conduct in-service training, workshops, and presentations to develop skills and establish consistent practices across the client’s programs of service.
  • Provide consultation regarding crisis interventions and critical incident supports
