job summary:

Leading electric construction company in the Silicon Valley is looking for a HR manager to join their team. The individual must be eager, take ownership, and think outside of the box to manage the HR department. Candidate must be able to tackle multiple projects such as creating HR functions and policies, recruiting, onboarding procedures, and handle worker's comp effectively. Must be hands-on and utilize critical thinking on a regular basis. Experience in construction, union, or retail is highly preferred. For immediate consideration, please apply directly to posting.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Implement human resources functions that apply to all employees across the company.
  • Create human resources functions such as policies, procedures, and practices that the company will follow.
  • Manage the human resources responsibilities including onboarding, worker's comp, and employee relations.
  • Communicate effectively by collaborating human resources needs with other departments and team members such as Safety and executives of the company.
  • Be extremely hands on to create human resource functions that are organized and innovative for the company.


Candidate Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective management in the human resources department.
  • Ability to make decisions in implementing HR functions, worker's comp, onboarding, and recruiting for employees in the company.
  • Experience in construction or retail industry, or experience in a Union company.
  • Knowledge of local unions, such as local 617 or 559-332.
  • Willingness to take ownership, be innovative, creative, and be hands-on of all responsibilities in the human resources department.
  • Viewpoint Vista system a plus.
