Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Tool Crib Associate to join our team for the 1st shift. As a Tool Crib Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing our tool crib, ensuring that tools and equipment are readily available for our workforce. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the efficiency and productivity of our operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize the tool crib, keeping tools and equipment in their designated locations
- Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to employees, following established procedures
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
- Track and record tool crib inventory levels, replenishing stock as needed
- Collaborate with the procurement department to order new tools and supplies when inventory is low
- Maintain accurate records of tool transactions and usage
- Ensure tools are returned promptly, inspecting them for damage and coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized tool crib area, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Must have tooling and machining experience with the ability to identify tooling as mills, drills, form tools, counter bore tools and reamers
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in tool crib management or a related role is preferred
- Previous experience in tooling and machining is preffered
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, Word, Excel and Outlook preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy tools and equipment
- Forklift certification (if applicable) is a plus
