Pharmacy Consumer Marketing Specialist - Remote

As a member of Optum Rx Marketing, the Pharmacy Consumer Marketing Specialist is responsible for end-to-end project management of consumer-facing outreach tactics that help educate members about Optum Home Delivery and multi-dose pharmacy services. This role will support the design, development and deployment of marketing campaigns to reach current and potential home delivery pharmacy utilizers while still meeting client and mandated requirements. This position requires strong communication analysis and project management skills to support campaign and creative projects across multiple channels. This role will manage several projects simultaneously, identify and initiate process improvements, and engage cross-functional teams to meet deliverables and deadlines. The Marketing Specialist will also build relationships with internal stakeholders and support a consumer-centric approach in the development and execution of member communications across all lines of Optum Rx business.
Additionally, the ideal candidate must be incurably curious and demonstrate an unlimited drive to learn our complex PBM and pharmacy businesses with a primary focus on getting to know our clients and members’ needs and motivations, and then translating that knowledge into actionable member communications and campaigns. Candidates should thrive on proactively seeking new information/insights, identifying creative solutions, seeing multiple projects through to completion, and measuring results.

Primary Responsibilities:
- With guidance from campaign managers, analyze communications, manage creative builds, map campaign variables for production, and ensure execution of projects—this includes applying stakeholder requirements, enabling content creation, incorporating revisions, providing direction to internal creative and external agency partners, monitoring brand and communications standards, routing for final reviews, and ensuring timely delivery of work product
- Contribute to marketing strategies that fulfill business needs by adding value to strategic brainstorming sessions; providing suggestions for the development of deliverables and translating objectives to actionable activities
- Support the development of well-articulated creative briefs, engaging key stakeholders to gather insights, establish requirements, gather insights, achieve buy-in and socialize with leaders
- Assist with reporting; monitor the execution status of communications projects, report on outcomes and performance against targeted KPIs
- Based on information provided by leaders, facilitate the development of communications tailored to specific medium and audience requirements; consult on and make recommendations for style, tone and design that optimize the effectiveness of the message based on audience and channel
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define campaign and material messaging needs while aligning to the needs of the business and member experience best practices
- Monitor feedback on communications and address questions or concerns as appropriate; follow up with internal and external stakeholders
- Help identify, initiate and report on process improvements that streamline the fulfillment of deliverables and enhance bandwidth for new project streams; document processes and educate team members on new systems
- Manage project expenses-gather estimates, obtain approvals, track costs against budget and submit invoices for payment
- Maintain communication assets using established protocols for managing communications inventory; interface directly with print and fulfillment teams
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of project management experience in a marketing or communications function
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven excellent writing, proofreading, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
- Proven self-managed but able to work both independently and with a cross-functional team
- Proven exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills with ability to report on and manage multiple projects effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Cross-functional team experience working in a complex, matrix organization, preferably in a healthcare environment or with a creative agency
- Experience in a highly matrixed organization
- Experience with Adobe InDesign

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $56,300 to $110,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
