We are currently recruiting for several long term, temporary New Business Insurance positions in the Pittsfield area. Work for a subsidiary of one of the largest Group Life Insurance companies in the U.S.! These positions provide direct service to the field, employers, individual policy owners and senior members of the Multi-life case management unit for Disability Insurance. You would provide both customer service and technical assistance with requests for proposal, offers, enrollment, billing, and servicing of Multi Life policies. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the growing Insurance and Financial Services industries. The positions are expected to begin in April and have a strong possibility for direct hire within the organizations and advancement. Typical responsibilities include: - Receives request for proposal and ensures that all pertinent information is included in order to develop an offer. - Performs follow-up activities to obtain any outstanding information missing from the proposal. - Creates new cases within the Case Management System (CMS) to assist Case Consultant with the risk evaluation process. - Creates Multi-Life Disability Insurance enrollment materials. - Makes outbound calls to producers (agents), clients, and other Berkshire Life teams to coordinate activities, answer questions, offer services and resolve issues. - Provides risk assessment and approval of Multi Life Disability insurance applications within specific underwriting guidelines. - Contributes to the sales and underwriting process by performing initial and final examination of Multi Life applications to verify that company and state requirements and regulations are met
Requirements: - Proficient in Excel - Strong analytical skills - Strong organizational and administrative skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred This is a 1 year contract role, it is a great opportunity to gain additional exposure and experience to the growing insurance world Hours: normal business hours; this client does have some flexibility with schedule Pay rate: $15.00/hour
