Position Summary:

The senior analyst will be responsible for external reporting, support various teams in planning and reporting team with special projects and initiatives with exposure to cross functional teams and gain a deep understanding of the financial statements. The role will be responsible for financial reporting fifty percent of the time and the remaining fifty percent of the time, this role will be responsible for supporting digital transformation of the reporting team. This position is responsible for internal and external financial results of Nestl USA market and Nestl Holdings Inc. This role will work with cross-functional teams throughout the organization (multiple divisions) to ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly and quarterly financial results and consistent use of Nestl reporting policies and systems. This role in corporate accounting team provides unique experience of introducing you to financial, planning and analysis as well as preparation of external financial statements. As part of digital transformation, this role will be responsible for evaluating current processes, redesigning processes and developing digital solution that drive value for the business. In this position, the senior analyst will get a comprehensive experience of Corporate Finance through involvement with various in flight and new projecting, reporting processes with the overall objective to embed digital solutions into everyday tools. The senior analyst will also be a key connector and work with various business stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and report Nestl USA market consolidated financial results (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Users include local management and Nestl Group management. Works closely with the operating divisions and corporate functional groups, and business contacts at the worldwide headquarters.

  • Conducts variance analysis and analytical review and enquiries with management to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Nestl Accounting Standards.

  • Leads and manages projects relating to financial reporting/accounting operations initiatives, as assigned, with a primary focus on digital transformation

  • Provides financial reporting support and guidance to multiple operating divisions within Nestl USA, (e.g., Nestl Professional, Nestl Nutrition, and others, as required.

  • Gathers and interprets financial information effectively and forms data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues.

  • Responds to inquiries from various functional areas as needed and prepares and assists in the preparation of required reports for management.

  • Provides and supports information requests related to the interim and year-end consolidated financial statements of Nestl Holdings, Inc. including preparation of financial statement footnotes.

  • Lead and/or collaborate with others to design and maintain digital solutions this includes trouble shooting, process reengineering and recommending solutions for

  • Establish and maintain appropriate infrastructure and systems to support digital solutions and users.

  • Design and build visualization tools with the goal of being integrated into a self-service platform across business stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend process and system modifications, and develop standards for various reporting processes.

  • Deliver tools and analysis to help drive the digital transformation in Finance.

  • Train and coach finance users in adoption and implementation of analytical tools and address system issues identified by the business stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and to introduce digital solutions

  • Lead/prepare financial statements and necessary disclosures

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • Bachelors degree required, with major in Accounting, CPA or equivalent designation desirable

  • External/Internal Audit and Internal Controls experience preferred

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance

  • Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (US GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral

  • Record to Report experience is a plus

  • SAP system experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data, including financial statements

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment, and interact cooperatively with internal and external customers

  • Strong understanding of process design and execution; ability to identify ways to integrate analytics solutions into existing business processes.

  • Working knowledge of analytics governance processes, stakeholder management, and project management.

  • Ability to analyze processes and data, identify links between facts, ideas, and situations that have no obvious connection.

  • Passion for solving complex problems and generating cross-functional solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ideal candidate is results driven, ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and teams concurrently, collaborative and , a self-starter with strong initiative, naturally inquisitive, able to think independently and has a desire to make a difference.
