you will maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments. Your strong technical understanding and hands on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting firewalls will ensure your success in this dynamic IT engineering role. Job Responsibilities
As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and following through with network services of system implementations, answering questions, and resolving network problems for clients via telephone or electronically. You will provide assistance in the Hardware / Network customer queue, providing SonicWall product recommendations to management. Additional responsibilities of the Network Administrator include: Working as a team member on project based initiatives, delivering superior customer support, both on-site and remotely Providing hands on design, installation, and ongoing network support to small/medium business clients Assessing current networks and making recommendations for performance enhancements Making recommendations on network and security technologies, hardware, and practices Developing and maintaining technical relationships with IT partners/vendors Creating and maintaining customer network documentation Configuring, managing, and maintaining network and remote connectivity to SaaS/Data Center and providing support for network related production outages Participating in weekend IT support rotation and occasional scheduled evening/weekend support Performing remote penetration and vulnerability testing
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Network Administrator / IT Systems Engineer (Engineering) Successful candidates for the Network Administrator role should have experience with IT virtualization technologies, such a VMware and a deep understanding of TCP/IP and Networking, Layers 2/3 OSI, and Connectivity Troubleshooting.
Additional requirements of the Network Administrator include Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field, preferred; with certifications, a plus 5+ years of general IT network administration work experience Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls Certification on SonicWall Firewalls Experience with Network Security and monitoring VPN hardware / software support and configuration Knowledge of PCI Compliance practices
- Proficiency in LAN (local area networks)

- General familiarity with Hardware Troubleshooting

- Linux experience preferred

- WAN Technologies experience

- Practical knowledge of SANs (Storage Area Networks)

- Adeptness in WANs (Wide Area Network)

- LAN Switching experience

- SonicWall experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Network Troubleshooting

- Firewall experience highly preferred

- Familiar with network design and implementation strategies

- 3+ years networking experience
