What you get to do every day
- Attending to the management of patient medical records
- Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
- Tending to client forms
- Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
- Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
- Referring patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Delegating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, faxing, scanning, etc.
- Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
- Be detail-oriented and effective with customer inquiries and when answering phone calls within minimum rings
- You can succeed in this position if you have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
- High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
- Excellent telephone etiquette and keyboard skills
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
- General understanding of medical terminology
- General familiarity with Customer Contracts
- Foundational knowledge in switchboard phones from 10 -30 lines
- Well-founded grasp of Call Center Customer Service
- Practical knowledge of customer invoices
- Good understanding of iScript
- Assist Customers experience highly desired
- Quality experience with Epic Hospital Billing
- Command of 10 Key Accounting
- Previous experience working with Conducting Phone Screens
- Proficiency in switchboard phones from 1-10 lines
- Earlier work involving Medical Transcription
- Solid understanding of 10 Key Skills
- Wide ranging experience with Resolute Hospital Billing
- Proven knowledge of Customer Account
- Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
