Senior Manager, Reporting and Technical Accounting – Sandy, UT; Santa Monica, CA; or Remote, US
The Senior Manager, Reporting and Technical Accounting is responsible for delivering accurate and timely reporting of financial statement line items, for both internal and external stakeholders. This individual will manage the reporting process and direct report(s). The reporting process is principally responsible for producing lender and sponsor reporting including managing lender relations. Additionally, the role involves liaising with our auditors as well as internal stakeholders and business leaders within the organization.

In this role you will...

Oversee, manage, and monitor the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes ensuring complete and accurate financial statements and related deliverables including the balance sheet, statement of operations, statement of cash flows, and statement of stockholders’ equity

Create materials for investor and lender relations including quarterly reporting, the calculation of EBITDA and adjusted EBITDA, lender presentations, and scripts for lender calls

Perform technical accounting research and analysis for new accounting guidance and new or existing business transactions and processes; document, implement, and communicate conclusions to internal and external stakeholders

Maintain systems and procedures to comply with internal control requirements; Initiate corrective actions as necessary

Initiate, improve, and create efficiencies in systems and procedures

Liaise with our external auditors for year-end audits

Identify financial statement disclosure requirements, communicate requirements to owners, and validate disclosure submissions for completeness and accuracy

Analyze and synthesize trends in data and information to identify risks and requirements for additional processes and procedures

Maintain great relationships with business partners and accounting peers to address accounting and reporting needs

Foster an environment of high-quality work, team collaboration, and continuous improvement

Other special projects and accounting related duties, as assigned
You’ve got what it takes if you have…
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
-
8+ years of relevant accounting experience
-
2+ years of management experience
-
Proven experience leading a team under pressure to meet deadlines combined with the ability to communicate the “big picture”
-
Knowledge of ERP systems
-
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required to interact upward with the executive team and cross functionally
-
High attention to detail and accuracy
-
Ability to coach and develop staff through close procedures and fostering teamwork
-
Consideration for privacy and security obligations
-
Ability to manage team members remotely between our different offices and time zones

Experience with Enterprise SaaS business models
