The Hybrid Engineering team is seeking a qualified resource for the position of Software Sr Engineer. The Engineer will perform development activities as it relates to Windows Server, Linux OS, product integration, and deploying solutions to the Wells Fargo's cloud platform using the Terraform provisioning tool.

Using Kubernetes services, the candidate will work in developing and automating cloud ready solutions on a cloud platform. They must have a clear understanding of these technologies' current life cycle-status, and roadmaps. The Engineer should have a strong grasp of associated technologies such as, OS build deployments, storage, network, and aligned cloud services within the cloud stack.

Collaborating with Agile Product Owners, all project work will be assigned based on requirements, priority, and availability, this will include working with various internal and external business partners to engineer and deliver solutions that are secure, scalable, and resilient. They will also work solutions with peer teams and related vendors, including the deployment of new OS products, services, and iterations, as it relates to our cloud solution.

The engineer will be available to provide 3rd level support for deployed cloud aligned products and services when needed. The candidate will be responsible for completing designs and engineering for tools and services. Work with the team to help identifying and certifying new cloud products, providing 'how to' documentation for the enterprise and deployment automation. This engineer will be called upon regularly to produce automated solution using Python, Java, and\or .NET.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of .NET experience
  • 4+ years of Python experience
  • 2 + years of experience with cloud based tools: Azure, PCF (Pivotal cloud foundry ) or a combination of both
  • 4+ years of Java experience
  • 2+ years of Kubernetes experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of application or software and infrastructure testing activities with full project level engagement involving all aspects of SDLC and STLC (Software Development or Testing Life Cycle)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology system integration: engineering or platform engineering
  • 1+ year of Agile experience
  • Experience deploying applications on HashiCorp product stack such as Consul, Nomad, Vault, Terraform, or Packer
  • Preferred be certified in either AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
