Classification: Corporate Travel Coordinator

Robert Half Direct is working with a client in Oswego, IL who is looking for a Corporate Travel Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for making detail oriented, accurate and cost-effective travel arrangements for all clients within company guidelines and standards for excellent customer service.
Major Areas of Accountability:
-Complete travel arrangements for client with air, hotel, car and ground transportation vendors. Utilize preferred vendors to maximize cost savings for client.
-Responsible for a large volume of hotel bookings.
-Quality Control, ticketing, follow-up, passport and visa assistance, as needed.
-Follow company procedures, guidelines, and standards in the areas of customer service, booking processes, etc.
-Participate fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client.
-Stay fully informed and abreast of all airline rules and regulations, tariffs, and other industry requirements, and accurately apply this information when making travel arrangements.
-Maintain a high level of competency in operating the airline reservation system.
-Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
-Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
-Perform other tasks as required.
-Previous GDS Experience (Sabre preferred)
-Two (2) years of recent corporate travel industry experience
-Working knowledge of all aspects of a travel agency.
-Back office Accounting (TRAMS) experience, a plus
-Demonstrate thorough knowledge of travel industry rules
-Proficiency of at least one CRS
-Proficient in Excel
-PC Proficiency
-Positive, can-do approach
-Strong team player
-Strong organizational skills
-Detail Oriented
-Ability to multi-task
-Display excellent customer service skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Knowledge of all aspects of travel agency operations a plus
-Meeting Planning a plus
