Guidehouse Insights is a client-facing emerging technology market research and advisory group helping technology vendors, service providers, and investors identify growth opportunities in the decarbonized economy. The Research Associate/Analyst will function at the Guidehouse Consultant staff level supporting Guidehouse Insights Transportation & Mobility Insights team.

The Research Associate/Analyst is responsible for supporting the Transportation & Mobility Insights research services, specifically Automated Vehicles and Fleet Decarbonization. This includes contributing to a research roadmap, managing the collection and analysis of market data, and supporting custom research projects. The Research Analyst provides research on automated vehicle and fleet decarbonization technologies and their applications. The suitable candidate has experience with various commercial, policy and regulatory issues that impact emerging alternative fuel and automated vehicle technologies in the transportation sector. The Research Analyst develops a reputation within the energy industry and is actively engaged in collaborating and conducting analytical research and writing, consistently delivers work of the highest quality, within budget and on time. Research Analysts are well-regarded, established experts concerning markets for emerging technologies.


+ Collecting, synthesizing, and translating information from varied sources into cohesive commentary on the market size potential and impacts of technology trends

+ Authoring and supporting research reports, white papers, and other professional literature for a variety of audiences within the transportation and mobility sector

+ Producing quantitative analyses and market forecasts

+ Developing roadmaps for future research to be published in a subscription service

+ Supporting customized market research projects

+ Conducting interviews with representatives from manufacturers, suppliers, fuel producers, standards organizations, and industry stakeholders

+ Working with business development staff to grow client relationships and client base

+ Marketing subscription services and expertise via press interactions, conference presentations, contributed articles to industry publications, and blogs

+ Promoting and encouraging others to value differences when working in diverse teams.


+ A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in journalism, business, economics, engineering or related disciplines

+ At least 0 - 3 years of relevant industry experience including relationships with relevant industry players (Note: Internships,Co-Ops, and Fellowships will not be counted towards years of experience.

+ No sponsorship available for this position

+ Must currently reside in the domestic United States

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's degree in journalism, business, economics, engineering or related disciplines

+ Strong writing samples on industry topics

+ Demonstration of quantitative analysis capabilities such as techno-economic assessments and market forecasting

Additional Requirements

+ The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.

+ The salary range for this role is $45,600 USD to $75,000USD depending on qualifications and experience.
