The Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation, coordination and documentation of financial analysis. This is a hands-on and challenging role working closely with the Accounting Manager, Controller and with internal personnel.
Analysis of financial and expense performance
Track working capital and all other investments
Conduct financial analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts including budget variances, margin trends, and other significant changes
Provide analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects.
Prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas.
Intricate member of the Accounting team involved in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
Assist the Accounting Manager with internal and external audit requests, including the preparation of lead and other PBC Schedules
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Ensure compliance with company and GAAP processes and policies
Experience and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of three to five years of overall accounting experience
Intermediate Excel and other MS Office skills
Ability to deal with people at all levels
Experience working with ERP systems
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Dependable; Pro-active; Self-starter
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Experience with SAP
Experience supporting financial and SOX compliance, internal and external audits
Strong desire to make positive changes and develop process improvements
