S&C Electric Company Chicago, IL Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY

This position reports to the Sr. Manager-Inside Sales and will lead our US Inside Sales Representatives who support our external sales force and customers in the Western, Great Lakes, and South Central Regions. S&C Sales territories are established areas with dedicated Salespeople or Manufacturer Representatives. The Inside Sales team and external salespeople partner to build solid customer relationships in their assigned regions. Our superior customer service levels play a significant factor in our customer's decision to continue to purchase products and services from S&C. This position is responsible for increasing and monitoring sales support productivity through improved processes, approaches, and effective business tools.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with Leadership in developing and defining departmental priorities to improve sales processes through innovative digital automation and analytics.
  • Partner with Leadership to design, develop, and maintain actionable US sales KPI dashboards and reports
  • Identify training gaps and create development plans for support team members
  • Manage assigned territories and oversee the support to Sales and customers for various inquiries; general product, order, process questions.
  • Negotiating shipment schedules and expedites with Product leadership.
  • Use various Microsoft apps, SalesForce, and Oracle to process requests
  • Act as the single point of escalation for sales and support team members to manage or prioritize process issues, order issues, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously foster meaningful relationships for greater sales alignment, increased productivity, knowledge transfer, and effectiveness.
  • Build continued customer loyalty based on helpful and responsive communication.
  • Maintain general working knowledge of S&C products and services.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Extensive (5+ years) Customer Service leadership experience within a Manufacturing type company.
  • Proficient in computer software systems including MS Office and MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and SalesForce required.
  • Basic knowledge of low to medium-voltage electricity is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong ability to logically analyze problems and develop solutions
  • Strong technical capacity

Relevant Work Experience:
Extensive (5+ years) Customer Service leadership experience within a Manufacturing type company.

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Handling: Use of a PC keyboard, PC mouse, and phone
